Background and Experience
Belinda has experience working with teenagers, adults and elders dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, caregiver stress, women's issues and faith related issues. Belinda has worked in different settings including nursing homes, hospitals, non-profit organizations, hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, community-based organizations, rehabilitation centers and churches. Belinda's approach to therapy is person centered from a perspective that values free will, the uniqueness of each individual and their inherent strength to make desired life changes. Belinda's goal is to build a relationship that will become an agent of change.
I became a therapist because I enjoy getting to know people at a real level. I will listen to you with understanding and the acceptance of the individual you are. I will be a fellow traveler with you in this life journey and look at life through your window in order to truly see and understand you. With that being the goal, I take great care to ensure that therapy is affirming of all aspects of diversity and identity. I approach therapy using a holistic approach by engaging the mind body and spirit.
