Personal Statement
I believe that in therapy, trust is the crux of healing. As a counselor, it is my mission to create a
trustworthy, caring, and safe therapeutic alliance with my clients so that they are empowered to be their
genuine self, both in and outside of our sessions together. In therapy, I gravitate towards a collaborative
process, where I learn about their unique perspectives and the life experiences that shaped them, so that we
are able to establish solutions as a team. My personal experiences inside and outside of the counseling
field have cemented my belief that when in pain, one must be heard and supported. I am driven by
my passion to help others cope, process, and alleviate their pain so that they are able to live life to their
full potential. I look forward to navigating healing together.
