Background and Experience
Cynthia discovered her love for counseling during her years as an educator. As an educator, she saw children who needed someone to talk with about stress and family life and parents seeking ways to express their concerns about their child. Cynthia enjoys working with clients of all ages, from four-year-olds to senior adults. Being a parent, grandparent, teacher, and friend, Cynthia has experience dealing with many of life’s ups and downs and has counseled in school and private practice settings. Cynthia is available to listen and understand your journey as well as provide empathy and compassion. Cynthia’s goal in counseling is to assist others in making desirable changes in their life or lifestyle in order to find relief from overwhelming stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictive behaviors.
Counseling provides a safe space for clients to process their thoughts and emotions. My passion is about building rapport with individuals, identifying their individual strengths, and encouraging them through the healing process to reach their true self. I utilize several theories in session and aid them in seeking positive outcomes and find more joy in their lives. My goal is to assist clients in gaining insight into their lives so they can initiate change and leave each session with the tools they need to face life’s struggles.
