Background and Experience
Denikequia works with adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults. Through her experience working with children and families at the Department of Family and Protective Services, she realized her desire to work with families from various backgrounds. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Intern (LPCi) and is currently working to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Denikequia enjoys helping people understand the dynamics of their relationships and how it affects their daily lives.
As a child I was intrigued by the human mind. I always thought I wanted to be a neurosurgeon, but after taking a psychology class and learning about different professions I fell in love with counseling. Understanding the inner workings of how people interact with and perceive day to day relationships has been something that I have found joy in everyday. My counseling style is to help each client develop individual goals and facilitate the growth process in a way that allows them to use their skill set to achieve their desires.
