Background and Experience
James has earned most of his clinical experience working with adults and young adults struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety, and spiritual distress. He is dedicated to providing unique treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and life situations. James also specializes in using spirituality—in many forms—to help clients realize their potential and find satisfaction in their lives. James’s empathy, encouragement, and insightful feedback will help you continue to grow and manage your life in a healthy and productive way.
I have felt the benefit of counseling in my own life many times, and I believe that working with a licensed counselor is one of the greatest ways to gain insight into our own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and to make positive changes using those insights. I am also an ordained minister, so I am familiar with using spirituality to find a greater sense of peace and connection with others. From my own life experience, I understand the difference between spirituality and religiosity and so I always honor each person’s spiritual beliefs and ways of expressing that. Spirituality can be a powerful tool for growth, but what that looks like is up to you.
