Background and Experience
Kami’s work experiences in residential treatment centers, school settings, and community mental health agencies have prepared her to work with a variety of individuals with unique challenges. She works with
children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Kami enjoys working with clients who are struggling with
addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, abuse, shame, identity, self-worth, anger issues, relationship issues, and faith related issues. Her background also includes working within the CPS and foster care systems. Kami uses an eclectic approach to meet the specific need of each individual. She offers faith-based Christian counseling upon request.
I believe that every person can overcome any challenges they face. I strive to create a safe and compassionate environment for clients to explore their difficulties and begin the healing process. I use a client centered approach to help clients discover their goals and then build on clients’ existing strengths to help them reach said goals. I have experience in treating the individual using evidenced-based treatment modalities, including motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and rational-emotive behavioral therapy. My goal is to empower my clients to take ownership of their healing journey and be able to experience life to its fullest.
