Background and Experience
Kathy works with adults and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, other mood disorders, grief, trauma, everyday stress, life transitions, career issues, and addiction. Kathy has gained experience in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, private practice, and addiction recovery centers.
I am passionate about helping clients find the awareness, insight, and resilience they need to overcome challenges and live a joyful, meaningful, and fulfilling life. My approach in counseling is based on ensuring you feel you are in a safe, nurturing, and supportive space so you can explore your current thoughts and feelings, heal past emotional wounds, and envision and achieve your goals. I consider it a great privilege to be part of client’s unique journey of personal growth. I am trained from the Adlerian perspective; however, I often incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based therapy, and mindfulness techniques in counseling sessions.
