Background and Experience
Matt works with adults, adolescents, kids (+8), and couples. Through working with adolescents and young adults in a community college counseling center and a juvenile detention center, Matt learned that his purpose is to work with adults and adolescents in transitional stages of life. Matt has experience working with anxiety, depression, substance abuse and recovery, anger, grief and loss, self-esteem, and more.

Personal Statement

Since I can remember I have had a passion for helping people. Everyone finds themselves in need of a listening ear at some point in their lives. It is important to me to meet my clients where they are in life and make no assumptions. 

Education and Training

Matt earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Texas Tech University, a Master’s in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University and a Master’s in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University. Matt gained his clinical hours at Family Counseling Services, South Plains College Counseling Center and Garza County Regional Juvenile Center. 


Matt is in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. 


Session fees start at $80 and can be lowered based on a sliding scale.
