Background and Experience
Sarah works with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, divorce, trauma, relationship problems, difficult life transitions and other mental health concerns. She utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and play therapy. Sarah also works with couples and families using Gottman Method Couples Therapy techniques.
Personal Statement
Your mental health is important, and it can be difficult to start therapy. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to process experiences and explore struggles. Together we will collaborate on a treatment plan and define goals toward what you hope to accomplish during your journey. We will discover what inner peace, healing, and joy look like for you.
Education and Training
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science with an emphasis on family studies from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. She then graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah with her master’s in social work. Sarah has been in the social work field for 6 years, working in a variety of settings including intensive outpatient and residential treatment, where she saw adults struggling with depression and anxiety and children experiencing behavioral issues and anxiety.
