The Counseling Center of North Texas is proud to announce that we are now clinically partnering with Neurobehavioral Consultants, PLLC. 

Dr. Armstrong and his clinical staff provide psychological testing and mental health evaluation services for children (ages 3+), adolescents, and adults with a wide range of neurological, psychiatric, and general medical conditions. Some of the more common conditions evaluated include:

Neuropsychological Evaluations:

The purpose of a neuropsychological evaluation is to assess the overall functioning of the brain as it is related to the negative effects of central nervous system disease. Whereas a brain MRI takes a picture of the brain, neuropsychological tests measure the actual functioning of the brain. Domains assessed include;

  • Intelligence
  • Attention & Information Processing
  • Expressive & Receptive Language
  • Academic Skills 
  • Learning & Memory
  • Spatial Processing
  • Executive Functioning
  • Sensorimotor Functioning
  • Emotional, Behavioral, and Personality Functioning 

Psychological Testing and Evaluations:

In general, a psychological exam will include:

  • A thorough clinical interview (expect at least 1-2 hours with Dr. Armstrong)
  • Intellectual Screening Tests
  • Academic Screening Tests
  • Emotional Functioning Questionnaires
  • Personality Tests
