Toni Williams, Practicum Student

Background and Experience

Toni’s career began in the classroom as an early childhood teacher where she taught pre-kindergarten for 15 years. In the last 5 years, she became involved in administration where she worked both as an Assistant Director as well as the Director of a preschool facility. While pursuing her degree in counseling, Toni continues to work in the education field where she enjoys helping children and families navigate the obstacles of finding a school and home life balance. Toni is excited to take her counseling education outside of the classroom and begin working with adults and children in areas such as anxiety, balancing work or school with home life, coping skills, stress related issues, and work issues.

Personal Statement

I believe there is no problem that cannot be worked through. I see life as a jigsaw puzzle with many pieces. We often run into problems and frustration as we begin building our puzzle and trying to fit pieces in certain places. It isn’t that we don’t have the pieces, we just need to know where they fit. I enjoy being a part of people’s journey as I help them to navigate their “pieces.” I look forward to working with you to reach and attain your goals while helping you discover the myriad of opportunities that lay ahead.
