Spencer Stiles, LPC-Associate

Supervised by Summer Land, LPC-S

Background and Experience

Spencer works with children,  pre-teens, adolescents, adults, and  families. Spencer completed his internship at his university counseling  center where he was rigorously trained and exposed to a diverse  population of clients. Spencer enjoys working with clients who are   experiencing relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, setting and  maintaining boundaries, and grief. In addition to his counseling  experience, Spencer has also worked in a daycare setting for two years  as he was completing his master’s degree, gaining experience in working  closely with children. Spencer understands the hardships and sacrifices  that are associated with parenthood as a parent himself and is looking  forward to working with clients on issues associated with the  often-thankless job of parenting. Spencer uses an integrative approach  towards counseling, utilizing CBT, ACT, EFT, system’s theory and  existential theory.

Personal Statement

I believe that the counseling relationship is built upon a foundation of  trust and understanding between the client and counselor. It is my goal  as a counselor to offer an environment that is conducive to building  that trust between us so that we are able to work together and let you  reach your goals and create meaningful change within your life. I know  that being a counselor implies that I am also an advocate for positive  change in not only my client’s state of mind and how they view  themselves and the world, but also to advocate for the normalization of  reaching out to others when help is needed.

Education and Training

Spencer earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Texas  A&M University in 2022. Following this, Spencer completed his  Master’s degree in Counseling from East Texas A&M University in  2025.
