Background and Experience
Sam works with teens, young adults, and adults. Through her experience working with children and families at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County as an advocate, she learned that her passion lies in working with children, teens, and young adults. Sam enjoys helping others by creating a space where healing and change can happen naturally in a supported setting.
Personal Statement
I knew from a very young age that my heart was happiest when connecting and helping others. In session, I strive to provide a safe, inviting, affirming, and consistent space to feel heard and tools to utilize and implement outside of session. As a strengths-based believer through and through, I believe every person possesses strengths, sometimes it’s a matter of identifying and utilizing those strengths. Along with the strengths-based perspective, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian therapy, Solution-Focused brief therapy, mindfulness, and others. Ultimately, I am client centered and am ready to meet you where you are today. I am an ally to all (human and non) and I look forward to working with you!
