His experience includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, behavioral challenges, and difficulties navigating relationships and life transitions. He has also worked with adolescents participating in court-ordered counseling and diversion programs.
Adrian primarily utilizes Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) when appropriate. His approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping clients identify their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change.
Personal Statement
I have always had a passion for listening to others and creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves. Throughout my own life, I have experienced the value of having someone who is willing to listen without judgment, which has contributed to my desire to become a counselor. I have often been told that I am approachable, easy to talk to, and a good listener, and I strive to bring those qualities into every counseling session.
I especially enjoy working with adolescents and young adults who are trying to understand who they are, navigate challenges, and find their direction in life. I think my background as an educator has played a big role in that passion. I enjoy helping young people recognize their strengths, work through challenges, and realize that they have the ability to grow and create a future they are proud of.
I also enjoy working with adults who may feel stuck, have lost their sense of direction, or are looking to make meaningful changes in their lives. My approach is primarily solution-focused, with elements of CBT and DBT incorporated based on each client's individual needs. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to identify their own strengths and create the changes they want to see in their lives.
Ultimately, I want my clients to feel that therapy is a place where they can be honest, feel understood, and know that they don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
