Background and Experience
Jennifer works with a diverse range of clients, including adults, seniors, couples, and children ages 3–12, supporting individuals and families across various stages of life. She addresses concerns such as relationship challenges, women’s issues, anxiety, low mood, grief, and difficulties adjusting to life transitions. Her experience includes working with caregivers, parents, and older adults, providing both emotional support and practical resources tailored to their unique needs. Jennifer’s approach to counseling is strengths-based, focusing on empowering clients by building on their existing abilities and resilience. She strives to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, valued, and encouraged in their growth. Christian counseling is available upon request, allowing clients to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process if they choose.
Personal Statement
Counseling feels like a natural next step in my professional journey, shaped by years of meaningful work and service centered on supporting others. My experience includes teaching school, caring for children in my home, and working one-on-one with children with special needs, all of which strengthened my ability to connect with individuals and meet them where they are. Beyond my professional roles, I have volunteered in hurricane relief efforts, food pantries, clothing drives, and assisted living facilities offering both practical assistance and emotional support to those in need. I have also had the privilege of mentoring young women, speaking to women’s groups, and contributing writing to Christian publications. These experiences have deepened my commitment to helping others through a relational and compassionate approach, and counseling allows me to continue to make a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of those I serve.
