Background and Experience
Beverly has experience working with individuals of various ages and backgrounds, addressing a wide range of challenges and life transitions. Beverly has had the opportunity to gain experience in her field through working in a vast array of settings including non-profit agencies, autism treatment centers, public schools, and churches. With over five years of experience as a school-based social worker, Beverly has worked extensively with children and adolescents ages 4–18. She has a particular passion for supporting children and is experienced in helping them build emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence in both school and home settings. Her areas of focus also include Christian counseling, grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues, and depression and anxiety. Beverly is committed to helping clients develop positive coping skills and navigate life’s challenges.
Personal Statement
My approach is warm, empathetic, and rooted in open, active communication. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals on their emotional and personal journeys, providing a safe, non-judgmental space where they can explore their challenges and growth. I believe in the importance of creating an environment where clients feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My passion for Christian counseling stems from a deep desire to walk alongside individuals in both their emotional and spiritual journeys—offering guidance that aligns with their faith and values.
Education and Training
Beverly earned her bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and went on to receive her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Beverly uses a collaborative and strengths-based approach to therapy, believing that every person has the resilience and capacity to grow. She incorporates a range of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, and solution-focused techniques to best meet the needs of her clients.
