Background and Experience
Courtney works with couples, families, adults, and adolescents. She began her career as a teacher and administrator locally where she found a strong passion for helping others. Courtney has been a member of the counseling staff at CCNT since she was a practicum student. She can help with various concerns in relationships, mental health diagnoses, grief, trauma, and life transitions. As a neurodivergent therapist, she has unique insight into treating neurodevelopmental differences. Courtney provides an individualized, systemic, and trauma-informed treatment approach based on the specific needs of each couple, family, and individual. Courtney has experience with various models of therapy including Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Courtney is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the Delta Kappa International Honor Society for Marriage and Family Therapy (Alpha Gamma Chapter) and was voted by her clients as a “2023 Mom Approved” therapist for DFW Child Magazine.
Personal Statement
I believe that every couple, family, and person should have the freedom and understanding to create and live the life that they want to live. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and caring therapeutic environment where clients can meet their unique goals to achieve lasting change. I believe that all relationships can achieve peace, understanding, and happiness. The quality of our life depends upon the quality of our relationships. Every person has special talents and gifts that can be realized and applied to their lives through nurturing and guidance.
Education and Training
Courtney earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Historical Studies and Education at the University of Texas at Dallas. Upon completing her degree, she served as a teacher and administrator in the DFW area. Courtney has a Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas.

Session fees start at $225
Insurance
Courtney is in network with Medicare and is in the process of becoming in network with Aetna, Baylor Scott & White, and can submit claims as out of network until she is fully contracted.
