Background and Experience
Lauryn has experience working with children, young adults, victims of domestic violence, and victims of abuse and neglect. She began her career as a Social Worker in a foster care agency, soon becoming the Treatment Director. Lauryn also has experience working as a Children’s Social Worker at a domestic violence emergency shelter. Lauryn supports children processing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, behavioral issues, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and other issues related to abuse, neglect, and trauma.
Personal Statement
As a children’s social worker with CCNT, my passion lies in creating a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable youth. Drawing upon my background teaching, working with foster children, and supporting victims of domestic violence, my transition back to children’s social work is fueled by a deep commitment to address the holistic needs of every child. I am dedicated to advocating for their well-being, ensuring their voices are heard, and collaborating with families to foster positive growth and resilience.
Education and Training
Lauryn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Denver. She also received a Master’s in Social Work from UTA and a Master’s of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
