Thelma has over 8 years of experience providing crisis intervention, clinical treatment, and program management. Her work is deeply client-centered, focusing on understanding each individual’s unique needs and developing effective therapeutic interventions. Thelma has experience in crisis intervention, mental health assessments, and tailored treatment planning, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to guide clients toward meaningful healing and growth. Thelma has gained broad experience across various clinical settings, including hospitals, residential care, and educational environments. This experience has enabled her to work with diverse populations—ranging from children and adolescents to adults—and manage complex cases involving dual diagnoses, substance abuse, trauma, and anxiety, depression, and suicidality. She is particularly committed to helping individuals navigate difficult transitions and overcome crises, with a proven ability to manage large caseloads while ensuring the highest level of care.

Education and Training
Thelma holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Delaware State University, where she gained the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to address complex mental health issues. She gained graduate experience through her graduate program working with high acuity, adults, adolescent, and geriatric conducting group, individual and family therapy in a hospital setting. Her license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) reflects her dedication to continuing education and professional growth in the field.
