Background and Experience
I received my bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of North Texas. My dream at the time was to facilitate golf operations and teach people the game of golf. Through several twists and turns, I was called to return to school and so I did. I obtained my master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). My area of focus while at UTA was children and their families. My sincerest belief is that if we can help children work through trauma, challenges, and whatever struggles they may be facing, when they get older, they will have a greater ability to handle the hardships of life and walk forward with confidence. With that being said, I also enjoy working with adults as well as couples and provide a similar but tailored approach.
Personal Statement
Life doesn’t get easier; we learn to navigate life in ways that improve our outlook and life can then begin to look lighter. Together, we can find what it is that empowers you and allows you to see your challenges from a new perspective. Wherever you may be in your journey, I will meet you where you are to help lift you up through a steady, caring, and empathetic attitude. My goal is to work together to create treatment goals that are your own, things or issues that you need and want to address. Through various assessment tools, therapeutic strategies, discussions, and consistency, we will monitor progress to allow adjustments in treatment. This will ensure we continue to make strides in your mental wellbeing, and you see the changes you set out to achieve when seeking help.
