Personal Statement
I am genuinely excited to gain clinical experience at the Counseling Center of North Texas where I will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of demographics. This aligns perfectly with my passion for helping others and my commitment to creating strong therapeutic alliances with clients. Through my personal therapeutic journey, I have witnessed the transformative power of therapy, and I am eager to help others uncover this potential within themselves. In my practice, I aim to foster an environment where clients feel safe and empowered to share their lived experiences. By building trust, I believe we can collaboratively set meaningful goals and develop actionable steps that holistically enhance your well-being. I am particularly drawn to the principles of relational healing and attachment theory, as they highlight the significance of our connections with others in shaping our mental health. My therapeutic experiences have improved my own relationships and quality of life. Through this lens, I strive to help clients explore their past relationships and understand how these dynamics influence their current behaviors and emotional responses. I will encourage clients to explore their interactions with others. I understand that every client is distinct, and I will incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques in my approach that emphasize their strengths so they feel valued and can lean into the transformative process necessary for personal development.
Education and Training
Zoe is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work in May 2023. In May 2024, she completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the same institution. Her MSW program, an advanced generalist curriculum focused on health and well-being, equipped her to work with diverse populations and an array of social issues. Zoe harnesses her education and training to be a supportive guide and resource for those seeking help in overcoming relationship challenges, strengthening their connections, and managing mental health concerns. I’m certainly looking forward to facilitating positive changes for any demographic I work with by meeting them where they are through engaging in active listening, building trust, and encouraging open dialogue.
