Background and Experience
Natalie’s training with Colorado Christian University has prepared her to work with people in all walks of life. Prior to beginning her training at Colorado Christian University, Natalie worked at a pregnancy center for women and as a behavior specialist with children that experienced significant trauma and sexual abuse, both of which have given her the foundation to treat individuals in crisis and/or experiencing significant stressors. She has worked with people who have suffered from grief, depression, anxiety and stressful life situations. Due to her own experiences growing up in a military family and being a military wife, Natalie is passionate about other military families and the complications military life can bring. Natalie also has experienced living outside of the United States and is dedicated to advocate for multicultural issues and needs.
Personal Statement
I am a military spouse who started my career as a behavioral specialist. Throughout my education, work, and life experiences, it became clear that I was meant to be a therapist. I have the desire to walk alongside individuals and journey with them towards healing. I take a humanistic approach, which begins with a safe place and allows an individual to find trust and receive empathy. My goal is to assist clients in gaining insight into their own lives in order to initiate change. We all have hard times in our lives and counseling can provide the support and hope needed to empower individuals into making positive changes. I can’t wait to join with you in your journey!
